What is the Canadian Medical Devices Bureau of the Therapeutic Products Directorate (TPD)?

They are the national authority that monitors and evaluates the safety, effectiveness and quality of diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices in Canada. 

 They are also responsible for:

developing and maintain the regulatory requirements and procedures that comprise CMDCAS.
